Job summary

American Senior Communities in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Culinary Aide to support residents with safe, nutritious meals by assisting with meal prep and service and helping maintain a clean kitchen and dining area.

You will partner with culinary leaders, prepare portions according to menus and resident diets, and ensure trays are ready for service while keeping the workspace sanitary and organized.

Qualifications

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling preferred or required by state/federal agencies.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and collaborate with culinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and portions according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace, including equipment.
• Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' dining needs and create a positive dining experience.
