Job summary

American Senior Communities in Madison, IN is seeking a Culinary Aide to help ensure residents receive safe, nutritious and delicious meals by assisting with meal prep, portioning and service while maintaining a clean kitchen.

You will partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' needs, support daily dining operations, set up trays, wash dishes, and uphold sanitary standards. ASC offers competitive pay, health coverage, PTO and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling.
• Required: Commitment to customer service
• Required: Willingness to perform routine tasks and effectively work alongside culinary team and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet the needs of residents to provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to the menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Cleans equipment as needed, maintaining a clean and sanitary workplace.
