Job summary

The Pines of DeKalb (an American Senior Communities facility) is seeking a dedicated Culinary Aide to prepare and serve meals, assist with portioning, and keep a clean kitchen environment. This full-time role supports residents' nutrition and dining experience as part of ASC’s caring team.

You will collaborate with culinary leaders, follow menus and dietary needs, and help ensure timely service while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Commitment to customer service is required.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with culinary team and leaders.
• Prior restaurant server experience is preferred.
• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred (can be earned during employment).

Responsibilities

• Partner with culinary leaders to best meet residents' dining needs and provide a positive dining experience.
• Assist in the preparation and portions of meal items according to menu and resident diet requirements.
• Set up trays and carts in preparation for service to residents.
• Work with service staff to collect soiled trays and wash dishes.
• Clean equipment and maintain a sanitary workplace.
