Job summary

Home and Community Recreation Therapy (HCRT) seeks a Rehabilitation Therapist (CTRS) to assess clients’ leisure interests and functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and facilitate sessions in home and community settings. The role emphasizes adapting activities for physical, cognitive, social, and emotional goals while promoting inclusion and independence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Recreation Therapy with persons with neurological disorders and the ability to design engaging, goal-oriented activities.
• Current CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist).
• Experience completing clear and timely Progress Notes, treatment plans, and other clinical documentation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Recreation Therapy.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with a client-centered and strengths-based approach.
• Ability to travel within the client service area, manage a flexible schedule, and work independently with minimal supervision.
