Job summary

Health Payment Systems, Inc. (HPS/PayMedix) is hiring a Chief Technology Officer to lead and scale our technology org during a pivotal growth phase.

You will own the core payments platform, data systems, and internal tools, focusing on velocity, reliability, and scalability, with a hands-on approach across architecture and delivery. You will drive AI-driven initiatives and new technologies, balancing innovation with practical execution to impact customer experience and revenue.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading technology teams or equivalent
• Experience with healthtech/fintech payments domains preferred
• Strong focus on reliability, security, and data integrity

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery across internal tech teams and external vendors
• Lead evolution of platform architecture to support scale
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering org
• Oversee data pipelines, integrations, and infrastructure
• Ensure HIPAA/HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance and security
• Define and drive AI roadmap for practical value
• Set technology direction in partnership with leadership
• Lead migration from legacy systems to modern environments
