Job summary

fino, a European FinTech, seeks a visionary CTO/VP of Engineering to lead technology strategy from Kassel, Germany. You will define the technical vision, own the roadmap, and align engineering with business goals while maintaining a customer-centric focus.

You will collaborate with the founder and executive leadership, manage cloud architecture and security in banking contexts, guiding cross-functional teams across AI/ML, data analytics, REST/GraphQL, and compliant fintech platforms.

Qualifications

• Several years in a CTO/VP of Engineering or comparable role in FinTech/banking.
• Hands-on leadership with a strong hands-on mentality and client discussions.
• Clear communication with clients, team, and executive management.
• Deep technical understanding of cloud architectures, APIs, data analytics, AI and security.

Responsibilities

• Define the company's technological vision and drive the roadmap.
• Lead engineering teams and partner with executive leadership.
• Own customer-centric tech initiatives and business value realization.
• Engage in C-level sales discussions with strategic tech foresight.
