Job Summary:

CT Mechanical, a is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in bidding and winning projects by accurately assessing and estimating costs for commercial plumbing installations. If you have a minimum of 5-10 years of related experience, this role may just be perfect for you. You'll utilize your expertise to review drawings, perform detailed take-offs, and compile estimates using industry-standard software. Role and Responsibilities:

• Review construction documents and drawings to identify piping materials, specific job requirements, and deviations from standard practices.
• Execute detailed take-offs of construction documents using estimating software tools.
• Compile take-offs and equipment summaries into comprehensive project estimates.
• Obtain pricing for specialty materials and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors.
• Draft and finalize proposals, bid forms, and cost breakouts.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
• Coordinate bid calendar for takeoff purposes and attend departmental meetings.
• Review bid documents and specifications for project-specific requirements.
• Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or database.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in commercial plumbing estimation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Leadership skills with the ability to multitask and perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with estimating techniques, cost control, and labor/material take-offs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Bid software.
• Familiarity with the MCAA labor book and industry-standard estimation software such as Estimation Viewpoint or Trimble Autobid.
• Strong critical thinking and technical writing skills for drafting proposals.
• Knowledge of a variety of mechanical and plumbing systems and equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy in all aspects of work.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
