RWJBarnabas Health's Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse for Per Diem, On-Call Option 3, night shift in the Cardio Thoracic ICU. This role offers a fast-paced, team-based environment with emphasis on high-quality postop cardiac care.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication delivery, collaboration with physicians, patient education, accurate EMR documentation, and active participation in rounds.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• IV certification from an approved facility.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) such as EPIC.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
