Job summary

The University of Washington Health System invites applications for six full-time Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care (CTICU) Advanced Practice Provider positions at the Montlake Campus. Roles support a fast-paced CTICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage and a 12-month service cycle with generous onboarding.

Appointments are at Teaching Associate rank with a start date in Fall 2026. Salary ranges from $123,912 to $184,692 annually with relocation assistance possible for out-of-state candidates.

Qualifications

• Active WA State ARNP licensure or PA licensure.
• Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• National certification as ARNP/PA and DEA eligibility.
• Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent and collaborative patient management from admission to transfer of care in the CTICU.
• Perform bedside ICU procedures (central/arterial lines, bronchoscopy, ultrasound).
• Participate in education of nurses and residents.
• Contribute to quality and process improvement within CTICU.
