Job summary

University of Washington CTICU Advanced Practice Provider role seeks highly capable APPs to manage cardiothoracic ICU patients within a collaborative team. You will perform critical care procedures, participate in teaching, and contribute to quality improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current WA State RN licensure for ARNP or PA-C; eligible for DEA.
• Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• National certification as ARNP/PA and DEA eligible.
• ACLS Certification.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Prior critical care or CT surgery experience preferred; new grads with related training may be considered with extended onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent and collaborative patient management from admission to transfer of care.
• Perform bedside ICU procedures (central/arterial line placements, bronchoscopy, point-of-care ultrasound).
• Receive 24/7 in-house intensivist support.
• Participate in onboarding and education of staff; engage in quality improvement activities.
