Job summary

The University of Washington in Seattle is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Acute Care Services. This full-time clinical faculty position supports CCU/CICU, General Cardiology, Structural/Interventional Cardiology and Heart Failure services.

Responsibilities include independent and collaborative patient care, leading Cardiac Code Team, device management, and performing central/arterial line procedures. Inpatient duties span 10–12 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current and valid state RN and ARNP/PA licensure.
• Nationally certified ARNP/PA with DEA.
• Highly reliable, flexible provider in a collaborative team.
• ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an inter-professional team to provide high-quality care.
• Provide full spectrum inpatient cardiology care in CCU/CICU and service lines.
• Lead Cardiac Code Team as Team Leader.
• Manage temporary and durable cardiac assist devices.
• Perform procedures like central and arterial line placements.
• Collaborate with inpatient consultants.
• Participate in quality and education initiatives.
• Provide education and mentorship to staff and students.
• Attend Cardiology Grand Rounds and faculty meetings.
• Follow UWMC Professional Behavior Policy; perform other duties.
