Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, NC seeks a Career Development Coordinator to strengthen work-based learning pathways and partnerships with industry. You will liaison with MYEP, coordinate internships, field trips, and speakers, and help teachers embed high-quality industry connections within curricula.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Education or related field with an appropriate license, plus experience coordinating work-based learning and advising CTSOs.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree and current license in CTE Program area OR Masters Degree in School Counseling or Career Counseling
• One year of industry related work experience within the past 5 years in business, industry or labor; or as a coordinator of work-based learning; or as a CTSO advisor

Mansioni

• Serve as the school liaison to Mayor's Youth Employment Program (MYEP)
• Identify students interested in internships and coordinate field trips, job shadows and speakers
• Build partnerships that support pathway development in the classroom
• Coordinate work readiness training and design professional development for CTE teachers
• Develop, manage and track CCP opportunities and articulate credits
• Collaborate with counselors regarding pathways and opportunities for completers
• Support districts with work-based learning initiatives and student engagement
