Job summary

Unalaska City School District is seeking a Communications Coordinator to provide coordination and implementation support for curriculum alignment, partnership development, storytelling, public engagement, and program documentation. The role focuses on capturing and sharing stories from CTE students, educators, and industry partners through photography, videography, and social media.

The position supports district readiness for skilled trades pathways, educator preparation, and grant compliance

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, social media platforms, and standard office technology.
• At least one year of experience in photography, video production, graphic design, social media management, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience creating communication materials, presentations, reports, or digital content.
• Must hold and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain access to military bases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement curriculum alignment and partnership development.
• Capture and share stories of Career and Technical Education students, educators, and industry partners through photography and videography.
• Support district readiness for skilled trades pathway development, educator preparation, and grant compliance.
• Promote Career and Technical Education opportunities and workforce development initiatives.
