Job summary

Ann Arbor International Baccalaureate seeks a CTE Culinary Arts & Hospitality Services teacher to design and deliver high-quality culinary curriculum and facilitate industry-aligned learning experiences. The educator will monitor progress, engage with families and staff, and pursue ongoing professional development to align with IB standards and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certification in Food & Consumer Science or State of Michigan CTE Certification in CIP 12.0500
• Bachelor's degree and interim occupational certificate or occupational education certificate
• 4000 hours of paid, recent experience in Hospitality/Food Service and licensure/certification with plans to obtain a degree

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver culinary arts & hospitality curriculum with authentic, industry-aligned experiences
• Facilitate work-based learning experiences (field trips, job shadows, internships, placements)
• Ensure a safe demonstration kitchen learning lab and manage program budget
• Promote the CTE Culinary Arts program and participate in advisory activities
• Integrate technology to enhance instruction and monitor student progress toward targets
• Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and administration and engage in professional growth
