Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a qualified CTE Culinary Arts & Hospitality teacher for a high school program in Michigan. The role focuses on designing and delivering industry-aligned curriculum, while coordinating work-based learning experiences for students.

The instructor will ensure a safe kitchen learning lab, manage the program budget, and collaborate with staff and industry partners to promote the program. Experience in secondary education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to design, develop and deliver high quality culinary arts & hospitality curriculum.
• Experience in work-based learning activities (field trips, internships, job shadows).
• Knowledge of safe kitchen operations and restaurant/hospitality industry standards.
• Familiarity with budgeting, purchasing, and program administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high quality culinary arts & hospitality curriculum utilizing best practices of instruction.
• Facilitate work-based learning experiences for students (field trips, job shadows, internships, and possible job placement opportunities).
• Ensure a safe demonstration kitchen learning lab environment.
• Monitor the Culinary Program budget, determining needs and placing orders as needed.
• Promote and market the AAPS CTE Culinary Arts program.
