The position requires a high school diploma, 2+ years working with youth, strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years experience working with youth and families required.
• Strong classroom facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability and interest in working with youth required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written required. Bi-lingual, English/Spanish is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) required.
• Must be able to interpret Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc. programs and philosophy.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently in school environment.
• Must adhere to BGCGH Employee Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Durable Skills curriculum in CTE classrooms
• Deliver Essential Skills lessons and workforce readiness activities
• Build relationships with students, teachers, and school administrators
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials
• Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes
• Support career exploration, employability skills, and post-secondary readiness
