Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Career Development Coordinator for middle and elementary schools (5th grade) to support CTE services and student transitions to postsecondary pathways. You will collaborate with administrators, counselors, teachers, and community partners to deliver engaging career development activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with an NC teaching license in the CDC area (Master’s in School Counseling with license is a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and current NC teaching license in CDC area OR Master’s in School Counseling with license
• Must obtain valid NC teaching license with 747 CDC area

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
• Meet weekly, monthly, and annual accountability metrics for the CTE department
• Plan and execute 5th‑grade and middle school CTE career development activities
• Coordinate career assessments for 5th‑8th grade students
• Develop and coordinate career planning activities with school counselors and teachers
• Coordinate resources and partnerships with business, industry, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations
