Qualifications

• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams required.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or NMTCB in computed tomography required within one year of hire date.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Six months relevant experience required; three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiology and CT examinations by confirming orders and identities.
• Perform radiology/CT examinations for all patient age groups and maintain competency.
• Transport patients as needed between departments.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain safety and radiation protection for patients and staff.
• Communicate clearly with physicians, radiologists, and colleagues.
