Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with independent judgment, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

You will operate CT/X-ray and PACS equipment, ensure high quality scans, review findings with radiologists, maintain sterile technique, patient care, and participate in department QC programs. This is a full-time on-site role with a supportive team and ongoing certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography Certification required within two years of employment.
• LSRTBE Limited Lab License (WJMC) required or in process.
• Proficient in PACS and radiology information systems.
• Ability to perform CT/X-ray procedures with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures with appropriate comfort and safety.
• Operate CT/X-ray equipment and PACS; acquire high-quality scans.
• Review scans with Radiologist for critical details.
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety per policy.
• Assist in training of trainees and maintain department QC records.
• Monitor equipment and supplies, report malfunctions promptly.
• Provide clear patient communication and obtain informed consent when needed.
