Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans, LA is seeking a CT Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with independence and professional judgment. You will operate imaging equipment, assist radiologists, and ensure quality and safety standards while maintaining patient comfort.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, selecting technical factors, processing images, and supporting daily radiology department operations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2-year CT/Diagnostic tech certification including ARRT training.
• Radiologic Technologist licensure/certification required or preferred.
• CT certification (ARRT-CT) within 3 years of start.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures with independent judgment and initiative.
• Position patients and select technical factors to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Process and send images to PACS and report equipment failures to the Radiology Director.
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles for patients and staff; ensure a safe environment.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and documentation of exam results.
