Job summary

LCMC Health in Metairie, LA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality X-ray exams, adhere to radiology standards, and support efficient department operations while calming patients and explaining procedures.

You will operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, input data in PACS/RADIANT, maintain supplies, and collaborate with radiologists to review findings. Required ARRT and CPR certification and Louisiana licensure; 3–5 years of radiology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge in use of all x-ray equipment, protocols, procedures and producing high quality exams.
• Explain procedure to patients/families and answer questions, ease anxiety, and address concerns.
• Recognize clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action for a positive outcome.
• Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities on scans with radiologists if needed.
• Maintains supply levels.
• Input and verify all data in PACS/RADIANT.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone and follow all quality control checks.
• Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, and an exceptional experience for every patient.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked.
