Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center of Independence is seeking a CT Technologist WEP. You will perform routine and specialized CT imaging, position patients, and ensure high-quality scans. You will work Friday-Sunday, 7:00pm-7:00am, in a team-focused radiology department within a Level II Trauma Center environment.

The role requires CT/Radiography credentials, BCLS, and a willingness to be on-call. Experience in CT scanning and patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited program with a certificate or a degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered CT Tech within 1 year of start date; ARRT CT certification.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years CT experience preferred with CT-specific training.
• On-Call required; must report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.

Responsibilities

• Position patients on CT table and assist during imaging procedures.
• Start IVs for contrast administration when needed.
• Assess image quality and make necessary adjustments.
• Provide post-procedure instructions to patients.
• Prepare room using aseptic technique and sterilize equipment between patients.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 7:00pm-7:00am

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:

• You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
• You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
• You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
• You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Prefer Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or Prefer degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
• On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
