Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform standardized CT procedures, operate scanners, and ensure patient safety. You will work with radiologists and staff to deliver high-quality imaging while maintaining strict safety and documentation protocols.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, verifying orders, administering IV contrast, and supporting radiology operations. Weekend night coverage is required, with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB; CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Tech program.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT scanners and associated equipment with proficiency.
• Verifies orders with Radiologist before exam; communicates discrepancies.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and documents—identifying using two identifiers.
• Performs IV contrast administration per protocol and records details as required.
• Ensures radiation safety and proper sterile technique; maintains equipment and area.
• Rotates shifts including nights/weekends and is flexible with schedule.
