Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment in the radiology department. You will follow departmental protocols, prepare patients, and assist Radiologists with CT procedures, including IV contrast administration.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB certification, BLS, and the ability to work weekend and holiday shifts. The department emphasizes safety and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire; BLS required.
• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with radiologist before exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review EMR for pertinent medical history and document accordingly.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist during procedures.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per departmental protocols.
• Maintain radiation safety and sterile technique.
