Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time CT Technologist for weekend evenings at our Union CT location. The role supports radiology exams, prepares patients, and assists radiologists during CT procedures.

This position requires ARRT Radiology or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine with CT registry within one year of hire and BLS.

Compensation includes a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and comprehensive benefits; weekend shift pay applies as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.
BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

Examines requests and verifies orders and refers questions to Radiologist before exams.
Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them with explanations of procedures.
Interviews patients for medical history; reviews EMRs for pertinent history.
Assumes responsibility for the exam from start to dictated results.
Prepares and administers IV contrast per protocols; records type and amount if requested.
Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist; performs additional images as needed.
Performs basic patient care; informs nursing staff of changes in condition; assists in emergencies.
Performs CT scanning; maintains sterile technique and infection controls.
Operates radiology computer system; documents contrast administration in MAR.
Rotates shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends; adheres to attendance policy.
