Job summary

Advocate Health in Park Ridge, IL seeks a CT technologist to perform CT procedures, start IVs, administer contrast, monitor patients, and ensure adherence to department protocols and safety standards.

You will document patient information, manage exam workflow, perform QA on CT equipment, and assist with training staff and orienting new associates to Radiology systems. This role requires ARRT registration, 12–24 months radiology experience, and ongoing stroke care training.

Qualifications

• 12–24 months experience in radiology.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 hour annually in stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures according to department policies and protocol.
• Obtains patient history, documents info on forms, and completes required documentation.
• Performs RIS functions, manages exam charging and verifies study information.
• Starts IVs, administers contrast, monitors patient condition during procedures.
• Maintains inventory, checks dates on supplies, and ensures clean room.
• Performs CPR in code blue and notifies Radiologist for emergencies.
• Conducts quality assurance tests on CT equipment and maintains biopsy cart.
• Schedules patients and provides prep for CT examinations.
• Assists in orienting new associates and trains staff on Radiology systems.
