Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a CT Technologist to perform routine to complex CT procedures in a fast-paced academic imaging department, under radiologist supervision. You will contribute to teaching, safety, quality assurance, and patient care, collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and residents in a Magnet-recognized health system.

Minimum requirements include an Associate’s degree, ARRT(R) registry, ARRT CT certification within one year, and AHA Health Care

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • ARRT R.T. registration required; ARRT CT certification within one year of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine to complex CT procedures for diagnosis under radiologist direction.
  • Position patients and educate to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal imaging outcomes.
  • Establish IV access and administer contrast media under physician direction.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and procedure areas while ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, residents, and technologists as part of a teaching hospital team.
  • Support teaching activities and serve as a preceptor as needed.
