Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking a CT technologist to assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The role involves preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain necessary diagnostic scans.

Qualified candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, and preference is given to those with a 2 Year/Associate's Degree and 1 year of experience in CT. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain patient safety are essential, as well as compliance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in CT preferred.
• Certified and registered by ARRT in CT – RT(R)(CT) within 12 months of hire required.
• Ability to adapt procedures based on patient age.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Prepare patients and operate CT equipment for scans.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort in the radiology department.
