Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. The role emphasizes safe operation of CT equipment, adherence to ALARA, and clear communication with patients using the AIDET framework.

The CT Technologist will perform scans, manage patient prep, monitor safety, and ensure proper documentation. A 1-year radiology background plus ARRT credentials are required, with BLS and CT-specific certifications

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R certification is required.
• ARRT-CT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain the ALARA standard.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast as per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as required.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete documentation in RIS/PACS.
