Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain history, verify orders, and identify patients before each exam.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding, and monitor quality of images.
• Finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrieval as required.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock life-support items.
