Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist at our Pinellas Park, FL facility. This full-time role emphasizes patient safety and high-quality CT studies, with opportunities to train fellow technologists and patient coordinators.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contrast, producing diagnostic images, communicating with radiologists and customers, and maintaining scanner and PACS equipment. CPR certification, ARRT CT registration, and state imaging licensure are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT certification required; NMTCB acceptable in lieu.
• State license in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produces high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Effectively communicates with radiologists and customers.
• Trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
