Job summary

UNC Health Johnston Health is seeking a Per Diem CT Scan Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures and contribute to high-quality patient imaging. You will identify patients, apply protocols, and ensure safety during contrast administration and image transfer.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiological Science program, ARRT or NMTCB-CT certification, and current BLS; on-site work with variable schedule including evenings and weekends in Clayton, NC.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Sciences or NMTCB(CT) or registry eligible; provide diploma if registry eligible.
• Registered within two years of employment and maintain continuing education annually.
• Must maintain current competency in BLS.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification, obtain history, assist patients and families, ensure understanding and safety.
• Obtain CT images per protocols and perform reconstruction; adjust window/level per anatomy.
• Administer contrast (oral/IV) per protocol; establish IV access and verify labs.
• Maintain PACS/EMR workflow and ensure accurate charge information and image transfer.
• Support workflow, precept new staff, document incidents for improvement.
