Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a CT technologist to perform CT procedures, acquire and analyze diagnostic data, and ensure patient safety. Per diem, onsite, 8-hour shifts. Salary range listed is hourly.

Responsibilities include patient identification, contrast administration, image transfer via PACS/EPIC, and protocol adherence. Must be registered with ARRT or NMTCB-CT, with CT certification within one year.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Science program.
• ARRT registered or NMTCB CT certification, or registry eligible.
• CT certification within one year of employment.
• Maintains current HCP BLS competency.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients, verify history and ensure safety and understanding.
• Perform CT scans per protocols and reconstruct images per protocols.
• Administer oral and IV contrast per protocol and monitor labs.
• Transfer images via PACS/EMR (EPIC) and ensure accurate charge data.
• Precept new employees and students; maintain clean, organized work area.
