Job summary

UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill is seeking a CT technologist for per diem shifts. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, verify patient information, and collaborate with radiology staff to acquire diagnostic images.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Science program, ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, CT proficiency, and ongoing certification maintenance. Onsite, with variable schedule and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Science program or completion within 3 months at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Patient Identification and safety; verify patient information and assist patients and families as needed.
• Perform CT scans and reconstruct images per protocol, including multi-planar and 3D reconstruction.
• Administer oral and IV contrast following protocol and check labs before contrast.
• Ensure accurate image transfer to PACS/EMR and verify demographic data.
• Maintain documentation, support workflow, and precept new staff and students.
