Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and provide a supportive patient experience. The role requires completion of an accredited radiologic program, ARRT certifications, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent completed.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R Certification in Radiography and ARRT-CT in Computed Tomography.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect and prepare rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET; minimize patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
