Job summary

Atrium Health Kings Mountain is seeking a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures with proficiency in scanner operation, patient prep, and contrast administration. You will work within the radiology department across various shifts to support imaging services.

The role requires ARRT radiology certification (or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine) with CT registry within one year, and BLS. This is a part-time, PRN position in Kings Mountain, NC, with responsibilities across the imaging suite.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an ARRT-recognized radiologic technology program.
• ARRT radiology or NMTCB nuclear medicine certification; CT registry within one year.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before exam; contact providers for discrepancies.
• Identify patient with two identifiers and prepare for the procedure.
• Review patient history in EMR and document requisitions.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment; ensure image quality.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; monitor patient status.
• Rotate shifts including call, holidays, and weekends per attendance policy.
• Maintain radiology computer system and document contrast administration in MAR.
• Keep the work area neat and stocked; assist anesthesia when needed.
