Select Specialty Hospital - The Villages is seeking a CT Technologist for Per Diem DAY shifts in Oxford, FL. The role requires 2+ years as a Radiologic Technologist and CT experience, with ARRT/CMRT certification and active BLS.

Per Diem/PRN schedule with opportunities for advancement. Compensation is $43.00/hr and includes department responsibilities such as patient preparation, positioning, contrast administration, and QA of CT equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist
• 1+ year experience as a CT Technologist
• Current state license as required
• ARRT or CMRT certification
• BLS certification
• Active continuing education in licensure fields

Responsabilités

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures and ensure a comfortable environment
• Position patient correctly and adjust technical factors for quality scans
• Operate the CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images
• Administer contrast media as directed by physician
• Monitor patient status and report adverse events
• Perform routine QA on equipment and assist with clerical tasks as needed

• Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
