Job summary

Select Medical’s SSH - Miami Lakes site seeks a CT Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging support in a per diem, inpatient setting. You will prepare patients, position them for CT, operate the CT scanner, administer contrast, and monitor for adverse events.

The role emphasizes quality assurance and occasional clerical tasks. The position is on-site in Miami Lakes, FL, with an emphasis on patient comfort, safety, and accurate imaging.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.
• AR RT or CMRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Use proper patient positioning and technical factors to produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
