Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Pensacola is seeking a CT Technologist to join our per diem team. You will prepare patients, position and scan to produce high-quality cross‑sectional images, and administer contrast under physician direction.

The role requires ARRT or CMRT certification and a state radiologic technologist license, plus BLS and ongoing CE credits. Per diem schedule aligns with patient care needs and facility operations, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years as a Registered Radiologic Technologist with an active state license.
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist.
• ARRT or CMRT certification.
• BLS certification and ongoing CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
• Position patients correctly and set technical factors to obtain quality scans.
• Operate the CT scanner to produce cross‑sectional images of target anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by the physician.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report as needed.
• Perform routine quality assurance on CT equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Handle basic clerical duties as needed, such as answering phones.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
• Use proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
• Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross‑sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
• Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
• Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
• Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
• Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
• At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
• Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating facility‑specific equipment desirable.
