CT Technologist

Additional Information (if FSER):

This full-time CT Technologist role supports our upcoming free-standing ER, HCA Florida Wellen Park Emergency, opening March 2025 in Venice. Responsibilities include CT scans and X-rays.

We are reviewing applications for Florida-licensed CT Technologists on full-time, part-time, PRN, per diem, or as-needed basis. Key competencies include proficiency in brain, spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, sella, and biopsies. Patient care is our priority.

Responsibilities include:

• Select and perform diagnostic CT exams accurately and compassionately.
• Operate CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system proficiently.
• Assist with contrast media administration and related procedures.
• Prepare and position patients ensuring safety and modesty.
• Document clinical info, obtain consent, and complete MEDITECH documentation accurately.
• Obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Stay current with software and field updates through training and seminars.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members, including radiologists.
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness, stock supplies.
• Accept on-call and callback duties as needed.
• Proficiency in X-Ray and CT required for ER locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, vocational/technical training, or associate degree.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Active Florida CRT license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• 1-3 years of recent diagnostic radiology experience, preferably in acute care.
