To perform computerized tomography exams on patients under the supervision of a radiologist in accordance with UMMC policies and procedures. To maintain accurate patient records and prepare equipment for physician's use.
Requires occasional exposure to high noise levels, heat, cold, biohazardous conditions, radiation, bloodborne pathogens, fumes, chemicals, and physical exertion such as lifting over 100 pounds, bending, crawling, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, twisting, and walking. Work hours may extend beyond regular schedules and involve travel to offsite locations.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine program, or meet certification requirements by ARRT or NMTCB. One year of CT Technologist experience required.
Must obtain Mississippi Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT registration by hire date. BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
