Job Description
Performs all CT procedures producing CT radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures. Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintains departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Documents evaluation results, treatment plans, progress reports, etc. Performs CT scans, obtains patient history, explains procedures, and addresses concerns. Transports patients, prepares rooms, operates equipment, assists physicians in administering medicines and interventional procedures, maintains sterile technique, schedules cases, performs venipuncture, and manages supplies. Participates in educational activities, performs POC Creatinine testing, and performs other duties as assigned.
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, or sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, repositioning patients, reaching, bending, and other physical activities. Must have visual and auditory acuity, manual dexterity, and be able to work in stressful environments. Must pass health screenings, work with hazardous agents, and wear protective equipment. Position involves lifting patients, long periods of standing, and exposure to radiation and infectious materials.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- Current State License, ARRT certification or eligible, or current temporary license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Healthcare Provider
- Good interpersonal, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and organizational skills
