Job summary

American Advanced Management is seeking a per diem CT technologist in Stockton, CA. The role involves selecting CT protocols, operating the scanner with minimal radiation exposure, and coordinating with radiology staff to ensure timely image transfer to PACS.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, contrast preparation, and assisting the Radiologist during procedures. Required CRT and ARRT credentials, BLS, and compliance with safety and Image Wisely standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of Radiologic Health Sciences of California program (preferred).
• CRT required.
• ARRT (R) required.
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
• Fluoroscopy Permit required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• BLS Certification through AHA required.
• Certificate from Image Wisely/Image Gently campaigns within 30 days of hire/transfer; annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, materials for patients.
• Cleans and disinfects CT equipment.
• Prepares contrast medium for power injection.
• Positions patient for CT exam; transfers and assists.
• Assists Radiologist with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Adheres to prescribed techniques for radiation exposure.
• Follows age-specific policy for minimal radiation exposure.
• Processes images in PACS.
• Observes patient and machine; reports unusual occurrences.
• Maintains stock supplies; performs general office duties.
• Transports patients safely between areas.
