Qualifications

• Must exhibit excellent communication skills because this position requires frequent verbal and written communications with physicians, patients, visitors, departmental staff and nursing staff.

• Must be able to function independently and under pressure while still actively participating in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate care to patients and perform imaging exams per department procedures.
• Ensure proper patient identification and correct marker usage.
• Review images for quality and release patients after radiologist confirmation.
• Assist other technologists in modalities as needed.
• Maintain infection control and equipment calibration per policy.
• Participate in pre- and post-procedural patient education using AIDET.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
