Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography Certification/Registration required or eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required
• Relevant State licensure where required

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT competency in clinical/technical functions
• Verifies patient identity and prepares patient for exam
• Performs CT exams per department protocol and reviews image quality
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines
• Completes studies within established time frames
• Educates and assists students and junior CT techs
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort
• Practices infection control and sterile technique
• Operates CT equipment and information systems
• Keeps accurate patient and procedure records
• Follows coding, charging, and QC protocols
• Acts as education liaison and trainer as assigned
