Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high quality diagnostic CT scans, prepare patients, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. The role requires expertise in CT technology, radiation safety, contrast administration, image acquisition and evaluation, with collaboration alongside radiologists and physicians to support accurate, timely diagnoses.

Strong patient communication, precise positioning, adherence to ALARA, and documentation in the EMR

Qualifications

• Graduate of a diagnostic imaging program approved by ARRT or NMTCB.
• Active registry in ARRT or NMTCB within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and obtain medical history; ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Position patients for optimal imaging while minimizing exposure.
• Operate CT equipment and acquire diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and submit to radiologists.
• Follow ALARA principles for radiation safety.
