Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama seeks a CT Technologist to perform high‑quality diagnostic CT scans while safeguarding patient comfort and safety. You will prepare patients, operate CT equipment, administer contrast media, and produce clear images for radiologists.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible in CT with ARRT or NMTCB within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures, obtain medical history, and ensure patient safety before scanning.
• Position patients to optimize imaging while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and relay to radiologists.
• Follow ALARA principles and safety procedures for patients and staff.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the medical record.
• Coordinate with radiology staff for equipment maintenance and service as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure timely diagnosis.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies during scans.
• Adhere to HIPAA and hospital policies and ongoing education in CT safety.
