Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in New York. The role involves preparing patients, performing radiographic exams, positioning and immobilization, and ensuring proper labeling of images. You will monitor patient condition during procedures and report any concerns to the Radiologist.

Licensing and ARRT registration are required, with a minimum of one year of experience. The position requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program and state licensure in NY

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
ARRT registration is required.
Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

Prepares patient for exam and explains procedure in layman's terms to relieve anxiety.
Performs radiologic exams, positions patient, adjusts immobilization and operates x-ray equipment.
Labels and maintains film, ensures correct side markers and dating, and logs the exam.
Monitors patient condition during procedure and reports concerns to Radiologist.
Performs related duties as required.

Education

Approved Radiologic Technology program (NYS/CT licensure required)

New York and/or Connecticut licensure as Radiologic Technologist

ARRT registration

Minimum 1 year radiologic exam experience
