Job Summary: The CT Technologist interprets physician’s orders and performs diagnostic radiography and CT Scans, demonstrating expertise in the use of equipment. Prepares equipment, correctly positions patients, and applies proper techniques for procedures. Prepares required reports and documentation, maintains work area, and assists in other support activities for the department, such as transporting patients.
Specifications: High school graduate and Registered Technologist. Registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Must have and maintain current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island. Credentialed as Computer Tomography Technologist and a Diagnostic Computer Tomography (CTD) license. Must have at least three years of experience in spiral CT scanning, including multi-slice. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Must be fluent in the English language.
