Under general supervision of the Manager of Medical Imaging for the BHMGPC Division, operates x-ray, bone density, and computed tomographic scanner equipment to produce images of designated anatomical areas. Makes independent decisions for organization and scheduling of services. The role requires providing patient-centered care tailored to the needs of geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients, aligned with Brown University Health and The Miriam Hospital’s mission, vision, and values, considering all developmental stages and cultural backgrounds.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Completion of at least two years of formal training in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Valid XR and CT licenses in Rhode Island, ARRT certification, and competence in multimodality imaging are required. Preferably, candidates will have two years of radiologic experience and one year of CT experience, including IV start skills.
Work in healthcare settings with direct patient contact, operating medical equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. Physical demands include walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working with potential electrical hazards.
